In Super Collapse II, there are four modes of Collapse action:
Collapse Traditional: the original game with new
tricks and similar to the web game. The blocks appear at the bottom
of the screen moving your pile of color blocks closer to the top
of the game field. If they touch the top, the game is over.
Collapse Relapse: This mode is for Panic addicts
– blocks enter from top and bottom, it's a fury of color
blocks dropping from above and emerging from below and you need
to clear the blocks before they touch, because if they do then the
game is over.
However, winning the game in both Traditional and Relapse is near
impossible because the better you get at removing the blocks the
faster the blocks appear. It lets you get confident, then it humbles
you very quickly. The best you can do is get a high score, move
on to the next level and try not to see these two horrible words,
“GAME OVER.”
Collapse Puzzle: Mind bending puzzles –
brain attack. Ten brainteasers that challenge you to clear the screen
with only the blocks provided to you. There is no time limit set
for this mode. However, you can only win by perseverance. You must
play each game by trial and error. If you have a good memory you
can remember the sequences you used for each game and not repeat
them in the same sequence in the next game. So far I have only been
able to get it down to two blocks but I'm still trying.
Collapse Strategy: Planning is what wins the game
– not speed. You must think ahead by pushing up a new row
of blocks every time you click to clear a few from the screen.
My whole family is playing Collapse – it's addictive.
I love the color blocks. My favorite is the Relapse mode and it's
unbelievable how the hours just slip away as you try to match the
color blocks of three or more.
Both the Puzzle and Strategy modes place the emphasis on thinking
ahead, allowing players to take as long as they need to make a move,
while Traditional and Relapse require the quick clicking that some
gamers thrive on.
The music and the sound deserve a special mention – it's
good music. I usually shut the sound off on most games because the
music is generally annoying or it ruins my concentration. However,
I did not do that with this game. It added to the enjoyment so that
every one of my senses was engaged.
