Moore said Hollywood Records pressured the band to add guest stars, but since the album was released the label hasnt put much promotional muscle behind the music.

"I dont understand why we have everyone the record company asked us for on the record, and now were not being treated like a priority. Of course we like all the people on the record, but still we altered our stuff to give them the product they want. And now theres no money budgeted for a video thats supposed to support the single? Its like giving the band three or four Cadillacs to drive, but they dont give you any gas. They set you in the desert, and tell you to push.

"I wonder what it is? It couldnt possibly because were an all-black band? I would never wanna think something as silly as racism."

Moore is well versed in the language of racism. He recently recorded a spoken word album as his alter-ego, Dr. Madd Vibe - "Angelo Moore is Dr. Madd Vibe."- that touches on the topic.

Moore also spoke out against racial hatred on this summers Spitfire spoken word tour. Rage Against the Machines singer Zack De la Rocha helped found the spoken word tour in 1998 to raise awareness about non-mainstream issues.

Moore likes stirring up the mosh pit with Fishbones funky rhythm stick, but enjoys the clear line of communication at a poetry reading.

"When you do poetry, you get to be more in-depth about the subject matter youre talking about. The people cant be distracted by the music they get in the live concert atmosphere. I still jump around and get sweaty though."
