Apple's international presence will grow just a little bit larger Thursday, October 29. That's the day Scotland's Aberdeen will get its own Apple store, which will be the country's second. The new store will open at 12p.m. and keep its doors open until 8:00p.m. Regular store hours will run from 9a.m. to 8p.m. with shorter hours on Saturdays and Sundays.

Any kind of growth is a good sign in these wintry economic times, so mark this expansion into Scotland's third most populous city as a positive development. And anybody in the area on Halloween will also get the chance to learn how to setup a Mac at a workshop already scheduled in the store.

The Aberdeen Apple store is part of a new Union Square complex within walking distance of an Aberdeen Rail stop. If you reach the Aberdeen Maritime Museum, you've gone too far.
