While it was doubted whether or not Steve Jobs would be re-elected to the Disney board of directors due to his absenteeism, he has still been re-elected by investors. An early count noted by Bloomberg says that 74 percent of votes are for Jobs' re-election.
The folks at Glass Lewis & Co., AFL-CIO, and the ISS probably aren't the most thrilled in the world, and whether or not this will affect Disney's value has yet to be seen. It is doubtful that Jobs will be in any more faithful attendance due to his physical condition, but he is definitely very qualified for the position. Whether or not it makes a difference that he personally owns 7.29 percent of Disney's stock probably doesn't hurt his cause either.
