Position Summary
The Database Operations Team has worldwide responsibility for managing Adobe's customer data in support of Sales and Marketing in a manner which meets business needs, is compliant with local privacy and security laws and meets customer expectations. The team is currently tasked with integrating user data from Adobe's SaaS offerings into our marketing infrastructure in order to provide enhanced marketing capability in support of the SaaS business units.
The SaaS Software Developer will work on the SaaS Marketing Data Integration project team to integrate disparate data sources together to support a single worldwide, consolidated customer view and extend existing marketing capabilities to utilize this rich new data source.

Responsibilities
• Understanding of Adobe's information landscape enabling our marketing programs, including systems managed internally and externally by Adobe's business partners
• Analyze and document current and future business and technical requirements
• Contribute to overall solution design
• Partner with teams across the organization to provide best practices in data collection and database design to ensure that information can flow consistently across a number of systems
• Develop and document metrics and reporting requirements to measure the success of SaaS Marketing Activities
• Develop client and server-side applications and programs to manage Adobe's customer/prospect interactions & activities
• Design and develop automation infrastructure

• Ability to synthesize, understand and communicate complex business issues and implications from a variety of perspectives (customers, employees and shareholders)
• Analytical/problem solving skills - use logic and creative "out of the box" thinking to solve complex problems
• Ability to multitask and prioritize activities, as well as the ability to appropriately set & manage expectations
• Knowledge of the fundamentals of database marketing practices, data collection methodologies and database design to support marketing
• Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills; must be able to clearly articulate and present findings and recommendations to team members and business partners.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree
• Background in engineering, computer science, or any education that has given you sufficient exposure to computers and programming to be effective on day one (this could be a degree in Music if you were programming for it)
• Exceptional problem solving abilities and desire to be challenged
• Solid understanding of relational database technologies and experience with client tools (sql plus, TOAD, sql developer, etc)
• Experience with a procedural programming language
• Experience with SaaS, ASP, Hosted or cloud solutions a plus
• Experience managing large scale unstructured data stores; experience with NoSQL or Non-Relational data structures, such as key-values and BigTables. Experience handling CLOBs and embedded XML structures
would be ideal, as well as comfort with unfixed table structures. Experience with Hadoop, Hive, or MapReduce a plus.
• Demonstrates initiative with a results orientation, while exhibiting strong drive and leadership skills
